Volunteer's Day program at MOHAN Foundation, Hyderabad on 15th June, 2013

Dear Friends,

In effective from 6th June, 2013, 'MOHAN Foundation' is the official 'Knowledge Partner' of 'Friends Association for a Change' to spread the awareness among people on the 'Importance of Organ Donation' in our country.

As per our request:

Whenever FA4C schedules an awareness drive on 'Importance of Organ Donation' across any location, we are inviting MOHAN Foundation team to present the presentation.

So  instead of inviting the team from MOHAN foundation, as we are all educated, we requested them to train us on the concepts of 'Organ Donation and Brain Death'. So that our team can directly participate and present the presentations across schools / colleges / offices / public areas etc

1) We present the presentation only for the sake of creating awareness among public on the 'Importance of Organ Donation'.

2) We shall publish the materials on the name of 'Friends Association for a Change' with 'MOHAN Foundation' as our 'Knowledge Partner'.

3) FA4C is not going to force anyone to donate organs to any of the organizations. We are just for creating awareness on the importance of organ donation and if the public is interested to sign for the organ donation, then our team displays the list of organizations supporting organ donation. And it is upon the own interest of the person to choose the organization to which he/she is willing to donate the organs during brain death / normal death.

As a part of this SPHOORTHI program, FA4C team attended a half a day "Volunteers' Day" training program on 15th June at MOHAN Foundation office in Khairatabad, Hyderabad. This is an education program on "brain death and organ donation".  Please let us know how many of you will attend the program.

FA4C donated old news papers towards education of visually challenged at Kakinada on 15th June, 2013

Dear Friends,

As a part of 'Vidyabhyasam' Program:

FA4C donated the old news papers towards the education of visually challenged students of Greenfield Residential School at kakinada on 15th June, 2013.

Apart from the news papers donation, our team placed a step ahead with their own interest during this event:


1) Ch. Santhoshi gathered some old clothes and donated them to the school students who are in need.


2) Moreover, Mr.M.Srinivasa Rao, Miss Ch.Santhoshi and Miss Harika distributed choclates, biscuit packets and cakes to all the students of greenfield residential school with their own expenses.


We would like to specially appreciate the efforts of our team from Kakinada:

Miss Harika Kanchumarthi (our program coordinator), Miss Ch.Santhoshi and Mr.M.Srinivasa Rao  who took the total responsibility of the entire event and implemented it with complete satisfaction.

Imp Note: The services offered by First Flight Couriers Ltd.  (Authorized to P.Srinivas of Potluri Agencies) at Visakhapatnam is currently kept in hold (stopped utilizing the services) by Friends Association for a Change.

The below information is conveyed in the past:

'Friends Association for a Change' had decided to utilize the services offered by 'First Flight Couriers Ltd' (Authorized to P.Srinivas of Potluri Agencies) at Visakhapatnam effective from 8th June, 2013.

These courier services are meant only for the official couriers of the organization.

Please find the attached quotation offered by 'First Flight Couriers Ltd' to 'Friends Association for a Change'

1) We are offered with their services in the way of receiving the official organization couriers from us in the city limits of Visakhapatnam with the help of a delivery boy.

2) They deliver the bill on monthly basis to us which can be paid either by cash / Cheque.

We accepted the quotation of 'First Flight Couriers Ltd' mainly because of the below reasons:

1) We are offered with a quotation inclusive of Fuel Charges 25%
2) We are offered with the quotation inclusive of Service tax 12.36%

Note: The quotation shown for the courier services offered is only for Visakhapatnam location. We are yet to enquire the quotations from other locations to utilize the courier services.

·  We donated 3 pairs of uniforms (2 blue and 1 white) to each of the 2 students.


We tracked the educational performance of the 2 students. The 8th standard progress reports of the 2 students are shared with our entire team through an email.
