FA4C donated books and stationary to the 19 students of ZPHS, Rampur and ZPHS, Velganoor from Adilabad District, Telangana on 28th Aug, 2020

Vidyabhyasam:

Friends Association for a Change donated books and stationary to the 19 students of Adilabad District, Telangana on 28th Aug, 2020. 

Due to COVID-19 pandemic situation, the requirements of the students are limited only to note books and very few stationary items for this year as the students are attending classes on Doordarshan TV channels.

We selected 17 students from ZPHS, Rampur, Adilabad District and 2 students from ZPHS, Velganoor, Adilabad District.

Books and stationary are delivered directly to the house of the students who haven't attended the school due to covid situation in their locality.

Details of the 19 students:

This year, we continued our support towards the education of 14 old students of FA4C (12 from ZPHS, Rampur and 2 from ZPHS, Velganoor). The details of these 14 students are already shared with our friends last year through email.

We added 5 new students this year from ZPHS, Rampur, Adilabad District, TS (4 students from 7th standard and 1 student from 10th standard).

We sincerely thank our friends Mr.Anil Bezawada and Indrani Garu for their financial contribution (worth 14,404 rs) in purchasing books and stationary to the 19 students on behalf of FA4C.

Sankalpam (Women Empowerment Programme):

Friends Association for a Change donated groceries worth 50,500 rs and groceries weighing machine worth 4,500 rupees to support the self employment of T.M.S.V.N.S.Sai Garu (alias Meena Garu) to start her own business at Tuni, Andhra Pradesh on 24th Aug,2020.

Kindly go through the video uploaded by us on this post with the the situation of T.M.S.V.N.S.Sai Garu (alias Meena Garu) a month back and the video with the groceries donated by FA4C on 24th August,2020.

Additional details about Meena garu:

Both of her parents are old enough to work. Meena Garu is suffering from health issues due to blood deficiency problem. 

As her parents are old enough and bed ridden, her house owner asked them to vacate. So, she vacated and recently moved to a house with 3,500 rs rent per month.

Her child is studying in a private school and her relative is supporting towards the education of her child for this academic year.

Her friends and local MLA came forward to support the medical expenses of her family.

She worked as a teacher in three different schools. Her students donated 53,500 rs. Out of which 40,000 rs is used for building a wooden store Infront of her house. She paid the house rental advance with the balance amount.

Meena garu requested Friends Association for a Change to support her store with groceries and groceries weighing machine for her self employement.

Our friends donated a total of 55,000 rupees and we purchased groceries worth 50,500 rs and groceries weighing machine worth 4,500 rs to Meena Garu.
