Sphoorthi: FA4C - Blood Donors in March, 2014

Dear Friends,

As a part of ‘Sphoorthi’ Program:

Below are our friends who donated blood in the month of March, 2014:

a) Replacement Donors:

On 06th March, 2014: Mr. Praneet Dora Akkapatruni

Our friend donated his blood during medical emergency for blood requirement to Mr.P.Sanyasi Rao (Patient Name) at Basavatarakam Hospital, Hyderabad.

On 18th March, 2014: Mr. Raghav Annavarapu Dv

Our friend donated his blood during medical emergency for blood requirement to a 7 yrs old child named: Vyshanavi (Patient Name) at Apollo Hospital, Hyderabad.

b) Voluntary Blood Donors:

On 08th March, 2014: Mr. Valarpuram Ravi Gopi

Our friend donated his blood voluntarily at A.S.Raja Voluntary Blood Bank at Visakhapatnam. We will utilize this unit when we receive a medical emergency call, as the blood donated by him had a validity of one year to receive from the blood bank.

Volunteered as scribes to the students of Devnar School for the Blind, Hyderabad from 24th Feb, 2014 to 10th Mar, 2014

Dear Friends,

a) Time spent by our friends can never be returned back.

b) Traveling around 40 kilometers per day for the sake of attending the exams by bearing their own expenses.

c) Planning and adjusting their office timings as per the examination timings.

d) Working collectively as a team.

This is the dedication by our team of 22 members who volunteered as scribes to the examinations of the 10th standard students at Devnar School for the Blind, Hyderabad.

Our team of 401 members would like to appreciate the scribes personally.

Specially thanks:

1. As per the request from the Devnar School staff, we have withdrawn some of our friends on 1st March, 2014 due to excess of volunteers participation on that particular day. We would like to thank all of our friends who understood the situation and supported us, even after postponing their plans to attend the examination during the weekend.

2. Mrs. Naveena Marouthu for coordinating this event by following up with our friends during the examinations.

3. Mr. Durga Rakesh Sunkara, Mr. Addala Siva Rama Krishna, Mr. Hemanth Reddy, Mr. Sandeep Nellipudi and many of our friends for your support in spreading the message through emails and Facebook.

Meeting with Scribes:

On 23^rd March, 2014, we invited the 22 volunteers to gather for a meeting (in which only a very few attended) so as to reward them with a small memento as a ‘Token of Appreciation’ for volunteering to the examinations of the students at Devnar School for the Blind, Hyderabad. Below are the photographs of this meeting.

We feel proud to announce that the reputed ‘Vijay Industries’ and the sub group: ‘Vijay Engineering Works’ are the supporting organizations of Friends Association for a Change.

Vijay Industries and Vijay Engineering Works are the leading manufacturers of all kinds of DALL Mill Machinery in Andhra Pradesh.

1) Vijay Industries is the supporting organization of Friends Association for a Change effective from 28th January, 2014.

2) The sub group of Vijay Industries: Vijay Engineering Works is the supporting organization of Friends Association for a Change effective from 17th January, 2014.

‘Vijay Industries’ was established by Sri Akula Rajeswara Rao in the year 1956 at Vijayawada. And the sub group of Vijay Industries: ‘Vijay Engineering Works’ was established by Sri Akula Jagadeesh in the year 2012 at Vijayawada. Currently, the industry is being lead by Sri Akula Rama Krishna Rao (Son of Sri Akula Rajeswara Rao) and his sons: Sri Akula Jagadeesh and Sri Akula Dinesh Kumar as the Managing Directors of Vijay Industries and Vijay Engineering Works.
