Donated a new sewing machine to Ratna at Visakhapatnam on 08th March,2013

Dear Friends,

As a part of 'Sankalpam' Program:

Our team donated a new sewing machine to the identified women (Ratna) on International Women’s Day (8th March,2013) at Visakhapatnam.

This is the situation of Ratna:

Name: Ratna Nelli

Husband Name: Chandu Nelli (Left her 13 years back and living with another women and Ratna is considering him as no more. We came to know about this on speaking to Ratna in detail.)

2 children (girls) : Bhavani (govt school) studying 10th class and Divya
(govt school) studying 7th class. The 2 children are being taken care by Ratna only.

Working as house servant on monthly basis and earning 3000 rupees per month
which is quite difficult to her and her children.

House Rent: Paying 800 rupees.

Staying in a single room near Chinna Polamambadevi Temple,
Maddilapalem,Visakhapatnam.
(we have done back ground verification by reaching her house)

Tailoring Work Training:

Mrs. Ratna Nelli is trained on tailoring work from Mrs. Lakshmi at Visakhapatnam. FA4C took the responsibility of training Mrs. Ratna Nelli by bearing the training expenses for 3 months.

After the training, FA4C requested a local tailor at Visakhapatnam: Mr. Ramu to provide employment to Mrs. Ratna Nelli in his own tailoring shop. Mr. Ramu accepted to our request and provided employment to Mrs. Ratna Nelli in his own tailoring shop.

Today, Mrs. Ratna Nelli is earning around 300 rupees per day as an employee in the tailoring shop as well as she is earning by stitching the clothes to the people staying around her locality.
