FA4C appointed a part time sewing faculty to 19 students and 3 faculty of ‘Madarsa Islamia Arabia Faizul Quran’ at Hyderabad effective from 17th Oct, 2015

Friends Association for a Change visited ‘Madarsa Islamia Arabia Faizul Quran’ at Hyderabad on 20th June, 2015 and on 12th October, 2015.

Mr. Md. Mahmood Ali is the founder of ‘Madarsa Islamia Arabia Faizul Quran’ (Regd No. 1976/2007) which is located at Chandragiri Nagar, Ward Division No. 125, UMCC Hospital, Gajula ramaram Road, Qutubullapur Mandal, Hyderabad.

· This Madarsa works for teaching Islamic and the subjects: Telugu, English, Mathematics, Science, Social Studies to the students of this area. This Madarsa is only for teaching and doesn’t accommodate any of the students.

· There are 130 students (of different age groups from surrounding areas) studying in this Madarsa and there are 3 teachers working to educate them.

· The Madarsa had 3 sewing machines and they do not have a faculty to teach sewing work to students.

We believe that teaching on sewing to students from their childhood will be really helpful to them after they grew up (especially to girls and to those from below poverty line). So, we accepted to provide salary to a faculty who can teach sewing and tailoring work to the students and teachers of Madarsa for a period of 6 months.

Out of 130 students, 19 girl students were selected who can work on sewing machine based on their age and capability. The 3 teachers working in Madarsa are even interested to attend the sewing classes. A total of 22 students will attend the sewing classes in Madarsa.

22 sewing class students:
Addeba, Shireen, Sameena Sultana, Shahana, Parveen, Afreen, Muskhan, Farha, Aiysha, Athiqha, Yasmeen, Samreen, Sadiya Saba, Saba, Sana, Sabhiya Sultana, Shaishtha, Shaziya, Asma, Madhiha Mhareen (teacher at madarsa), Naheedunnisa (teacher at madarsa), Ferdos (teacher at madarsa).

Tailor and class details:

Name of Tailor : Ms.Akther Begum

Age : 35 years

Experience : 10 years in tailoring.

Joining date as a part time faculty at Madarsa: 17th October, 2015.

Class Timings : 

2 PM to 4 PM (6 days per week. Friday Holiday.)

6 months classes :
1 month -> Hand work and 5 months -> On sewing machine

Salary : 2,000 rupees per month (FA4C will provide this salary for a period of 6 months)

Exam will be conducted after completion of each topic mentioned in the curriculum to the students.

The tailoring machines, scissors, cloth and needles will be provided by Madarsa. We provide only the salary to the faculty.

We informed them to maintain attendance of the sewing faculty as well as the 22 students.
